5.13.10.4. Classification of Electrical Connections [CNS_CP|4|3])

[Note] Note

Precondition:

All electrical contacts have to be equipped with a Connection point.

Information of parts already classified according to eCl@ss, can be mapped to the CNS classification. Otherwise 3D data in PARTsolutions (connection points classified as electrical connections) have to be equipped with additional information from data sheet.

CADENAS supports a certain subset of connection properties (class Electrical Connection), which are defined under eCl@ss ADVANCED. This subset can be enhanced anytime on request.

Following figure shows the currently available connection properties (Electrical Connection = CNS_CP|4|3) [in red frame] called under PARTproject -> Extras menu -> Class systems: edit....

Class system CNS -> Filter Connection points -> Insertion Point -> Elektro -> Electrical Connection

Class system CNS -> Filter Connection points -> Insertion Point -> Elektro -> Electrical Connection

The following figure shows the currently available connection properties (Electrical Connection = CNS_CP|4|3) called under PARTproject -> Edit project -> tabbed page General -> Attributes (CNS)

Attributes (CNS) -> Class CNS_CP|4|3 (Electrical Connection)

Attributes (CNS) -> Class CNS_CP|4|3 (Electrical Connection)

The following listing exemplarily picks out some attributes and shows possible values:

  • Connection Type:

Currently supported connection types (upgradeable on request)

    Band connection AAR616
    Bolt connection AAK940
    Cable terminal screw AAK941
    Clamping strap AAK942
    Conductor plate connection WAA067
    Female connector AAR874
    Flat plug-in connector BAA481
    Frame clamp AAK944
    Male connector AAR875
    Plug-in connection WAA068
    Rail connection AAK946
    Ring cable connection AAK945
    Screw connection WAA065
    Soldering lug connection WAA066
    Spring pulley connection BAA461
    Wire-Wrap connection AAR617
    Push-In connection DAA404

You can set the type in the dialog Class variables.

Furthermore you can set the type in the dialog area Published elements.

    [Note] Note

In any case avoid free textual input, but set the desired type via list field selection in order to avoid errors.
