In order to perform a dimension search, please load the respective template.

Therefor click on the icon Load predefined template.
In the dialog box Pipeline Template Selection, select the option Dimension search.

Precondition for the use of the template Dimension search is that those variables which are needed to identify the concrete characteristic of a part are contained in a column which contains respective data. In the Standard catalog mostly the variable "NENN" contains the variables which are required for a clear identification of the characteristic (line). For a bolt these are diameter and length, which is mirrored in the line description (M20x30).

The example in hand uses 19 characteristics from DIN 912 to DIN 915 (see adjoining CSV file) and shows the complete standard procedure on the base of the template Dimension search.^[a]

The crucial parameters are found in the columns Norm (Standard), Abmessung (dimension) and Material.

Again, the already read in sample catalog is used.

Information on the import of the CSV catalog is found under Section 1.1.3, “Create catalog from CSV file”).
