1.1.5.2. Optional settings in the node "Class Filter" (data in one field)

If all decisive data are in separated columns, a unique assignment is very simple.

The additional options explained here, are especially helpful, if the core data (and may be further additional data) are only in one field.

The following explanations are based on adjoining CSV file, where the decisive data are only in one column (here "Standard [Norm]-Dimension[Abmessung]").[a]

If, beside the decisive core data, other information (which has no meaning for the assignment) is in the field, additional information has to be provided to mark the core data.

Example (adjoining figure): Information, irrelevant for the assignment, is the string "xy <number>".

[a] The used sample file article_meta_search_one_field.csv can be found under "$CADENAS/training/partdatacenter/article_number_assignment".

Without intelligent additional settings an automatic assignment is not possible.

The figure shows quite wrong assignments.

The figure shows quite wrong assignments.

Following additional settings in the node Class Filter serve the purpose to get unique assignments despite problems:

  • Free input of Standard number: This option is suited for a manual assigning, step by step. One Standard after another.

  • Remove found Standard number (e.g. ISO 1234) from selected fields for further steps in pipeline:

In this example DIN 913 has been removed after a hit, which simplifies the next analysis step (=finding the correct dimension M20x30).

  • Minimum length of the number (only the number):

In the example two-digit numbers such as 11 for example are not suitable, because the value for minimum length of number is 3. So the class can be identified more clearly.

  • Often used prefixes before number (use comma separated list):

In the example the class "DIN 913" can clearly be identified by the prefix "DIN".

  • Position of the Standard number in the selected field relatively to the other numbers in the field:

In the example the class has been identified by position "2", which makes it unique.

  • Additional Standard numbers ignoring the restrictions in the settings above (use comma separated list):

If Minimum length of the number (only the number) is set on the value 3 for example, then you can state DIN 39, DIN 98, for example, here explicitly to include it in the process again.

With the use of above setting options an unique assignment is possible.
