3.1.1.6.4.7.  Topology search

"Topology search" dialog box

"Topology search" dialog box

The Topology search is a completely new way to search geometrically. This is not a "rough" search as with the geometric search. Special attributes and (optionally) specific values are searched for.

Such Attributes are:

Any parameter
Size Volume
  Surface
  Largest dimension
  Middle dimension
  Shortest dimension
Symmetry Axis symmetry (symmetric, nearly symmetric, not symmetric)
  Rotation symmetry
  Plane symmetry
Boreholes Number of boreholes
Number of boreholes with diameter in range
Inner cylinders Number of inner cylinders
Number of inner cylinders with diameter
Outer cylinders Number of outer cylinders
Number of outer cylinders with diameter
Shape Basic shapes (Sphere, Cylinder, Cuboid, Cone)
Distances and angles Frequency of distance, Frequency of angle

In the Topology search dialog box the following actions are possible:

  • New condition Add

Click on the New condition button.

-> The context menu opens. Select the desired Feature. Select the mathematical operator such as "equals" or "unequals" for example. Enter the value (textual or numerical).

  • Remove condition:

Select the desired row and click on .

  • Remove all conditions:

Click on the Remove all conditions button.

  • Commit

Takes over all changes and closes the dialog box.

Start the Topology search via Start search.

    Commit and Search

Closes the dialog box starts the Topology search.

    Cancel

Closes the dialog box without saving any changes.

Example 1 - Search with Any parameter

A Topology search with the attribute Any parameter delivers results, when the searched dimension is found in any parameter.

You can set as many lines of the type Any parameter as you like.

  1. Call up the topology search and select the attribute Any parameter.

  2. Click on Commit.

  3. Start the search.

In the search results, in the column Topology, in each result line you can see based on which attribute the hit is. The search values are color-marked.

    Topology search: Result

    Topology search: Result

Example 2 - Combination of Topology search and Color search: See Section 3.1.1.6.4.6, “ Color search ”.
