The goal of the rights administration is to control user and role dependant processes.
The responsible PARTsolutions module is PARTadmin .
The set-up and the administration of the user-role concept is carried out under Category -> ERP environment .
Users are managed in the database. However, direct access to the database is possible via the ERP environment -> User in the dialog area Database user (if the login occurs with the appropriate administration password).
Users are announced on the side of PARTsolutions via ERP environment -> User -> User (in order to be able to carry out allocations later).
Roles (groups) are managed under ERP environment -> Roles . Any, even very complex rules can be defined here.
The allocation of users and roles is carried out under ERP environment -> User -> User-Role assignment
Where and how does the rights allocation have an affect?
The following users are applied in the database:
ecat (shows default settings of the General index page. See Section 5.6.5.2.1, “ Tabbed page "General" ”.)
location (shows settings of the Display index page -> Status indicating bitmaps for table view and Status colors for catalog index. See Section 5.6.5.2.4, “Tabbed page "Display" ”.)
For the user marked "ecat" the following roles, from those generally available, are activated:

Users and their passwords are managed in the database. In order to change user names and passwords further access options for the database are required. |
From the dialog under PARTadmin -> Database user you can directly access the database and, for example, passwords may be changed.-
Depending on which role the user decides on he has specific rights. The two images at the right show the different allocations of rights. On this also compare the setting options for a general activation/deactivation of functions (show/hide buttons) under Section 5.9.1.3.3.2.2.1, “ Login mode ”. |
