Post-installation

Re-open the installation routine and select the desired integration.[a]
[a] Currently (04/2010) there are interfaces for Insight/SolidEdge and Vault/Inventor available.

Update

PDM interface updates are occasionally made available under "www.cadenas.de -> Service -> Download/Update -> update -> v9 -> pdm-interfaces" as executable programs (*.exe).

In order to start the update process, double-click on the *.exe file.

-> The installation routine is opened. Click on Next> until you reach the EDM/PDM/PLM integrations selection dialog window.

Select the desired interface.

The selection must be set to Update.

For a single workstation installation the update has now been completed.

Since during a Client-Server installation th dlls of the PDM integrations are located on the server drive, an action (for example new registration of dll) is only occasionally necessary on the client. During the next PDM restart, the updated dll is usually directly loaded.

	Note
	If new Clients are added, they must be registered.

	Important
	Usually a deinstallation of the old interface is not necessary. In certain cases, the respective information is given during the installation. All configuration files under $CADENAS_SETUP are overwritten during update. The old configuration files are saved. These are then located under "$CADENAS/backup"
