2.6.4.  Seamless integration of the PARTsolutions library in CAD

In order to seamlessly integrate the Standard and supplier parts library into your CAD system, click on the menu item Seamless in the PARTsolutions menu or on the respective icon in the toolbar.

Seamless is available for the following CAD systems:

  • AutoCAD: Display mode: Single window and docking [if a part has been loaded before the start of Seamless]

  • Catia: Display mode: Single window

  • CoCreate Modeling | Creo Elements/Direct Modeling: Display mode: Single window

  • Inventor: Display mode: Single window and docking [if a part has been loaded before the start of Seamless]

  • MegaCAD: Display mode: Single window

  • NX: Display mode: Single window and docking

  • Pro/E Wildfire | Creo Elements/Direct Pro | Creo Parametric: Display mode: Single window and docking

  • Solid Edge: Display mode: Single window and docking

  • SolidWorks: Display mode: Single window and docking

The Seamless dialog box is subdivided into four tabbed pages:

  • "Search" tabbed page

    Find the desired part via Full-text search, Variables search, Geometric search (3D), Sketch search (2D), Color search or Topology search.

  • "Catalogs" tabbed page

    Find the desired part via browsing through the directories of supplier catalogs, own part catalogs or classifications.

  • "Favorites" tabbed page

    Transfer the desired part into your CAD system directly form your favorites.

  • "View" tabbed page

    Check or determine the correct characteristic via Variable values in the single list fields.

    Check the part in the 3D view and create 2D derivations if needed. Have a look on Technical details and Links to related parts.

On the tabbed pages Search, Catalogs and Favorites, you can find the command Update catalogs below.

On the tabbed page View, you can find the command Export to CAD below.
