Dialog area User-Role assignment -> User -> button New

When clicking on New a new user is created.

The new user is immediately displayed under User.

In the same course, in the configuration file plinkusers.cfg the user is established by a new block. The key GROUPS is still empty, because there isn't a user-role assignment yet. The key GROUPORDER contains all available roles.

Note When using this method please regard that the database user created in PARTsolutions by clicking on New really exists in the database. How to create a database user from PARTsolutions is described under Section 4.12.1.2, “ Create database users in database via access from PARTadmin ”. How to create a database user with database-inherent tools is described under Section 4.2.4, “Create database scheme and users for ERP (exemplified by MSSQL)”.

Copy database user on the side of PARTsolutions

Dialog area User-Role assignment -> User -> button Copy

Via Copy you can copy an user with all its properties (roles and password).
