In this section you can find details on the setting options of Derivation .

Derivation

Derivation

  • General: See Section 10.4.2, “General settings”.

  • 2D derivation:

    • View:

Enter the key terms for the views to be displayed in the input field:

      • left

      • right

      • top

      • bottom

      • front

      • back

      • iso

      • none

        [Note] Note

Please use the placeholder "none", in order to fill empty spaces in the chosen table structure (see setting Rows, Columns).

Examples: Setting 2 Rows, 2 Columns

        • front top
          right iso

        • front top
          right none

      [Note] Note

You can also use the name of a DW template.

Example: "3 views + isometric drawing in frame (DIN)"

Example: "3 views + isometric drawing in frame (DIN)"

DW templates are stored under $CADENAS_SETUP/layouts/2dderivation.

You can find the template name in the section [Template] under the key "name".

      [Template]
      name=drawing_4_views_frame_DIN

Also see Section 5.11.3, “ 2D derivation: Create your own Combination views (*.dw) ”.

    • Render mode:

      • 2D-Derivation (Line view):

      • 2D-Derivation(shaded) (Lines + shaded view):

      • Shaded View (Shaded View):

    • Rows / Columns:

Example: Setting 2 Rows, 2 Columns:

      front top
      right iso

    • Shortened view:

Shortened view is a special feature for catalogs which may look bad in the 2D derivation due to their proportions. This may happen with very long cylinders, for example. The 2D derivation would then appear to look more like a line than a cylinder.

If the part has an additional shortened view, then it is used (if activated).

      Example: Checkbox "Shortened view" activated

      Example: Checkbox "Shortened view" activated

      Example: Checkbox "Shortened view" deactivated

      Example: Checkbox "Shortened view" deactivated
