With PARTdesigner you can cut a hollow space (e.g. boring) from a 3D solid (e.g. cuboid, cylinder, etc.). In the 3D History , the name for a solid is Base, either Base extrude or Base rotate, the name for cuts is Cut, either Cut extrude or Cut rotate.

In the Sketcher draw a 2D contour and extrude or rotate it. The figure described in this way is removed from the 3D solid.
