For value ranges different options can be used in PARTdesigner -> Variable Manager -> Status. As far as textual values are used, the Value range variable with naming should always be preferred – in the front end, a text is shown and in the background a numbered index is used. For textual values, the option Value range variable is possible, however, from the technical point of view unfavorable. Value range variable with naming is the most ERP friendly value range type in case of textual value range contents.
