7.9.7. Problem avoidance

In order to check the integrity of a part click on the button Test part . Integrity has to be ensured to avoid error messages in QA check and finally a faultless export to the different CAD systems is ensured.

If there are problems when executing the function this is immediately documented in the 3D view.

In the following you can see some examples for construction errors:

  • Error message "non-manifold"

    A definition for "non-manifold" related to praxis is: You could not machine the shape out of a single block.

    The interior cut touches a face of the body at a line.

    In the 3D History the affected element is marked by a red cross .

    The dialog box Notifications shows the error.

    In the dialog box QA check the error message Non manifold is also displayed.

  • Error message "The result is more than one solid"

    The shape cannot be machined out of a single block.

    Error: "More than one solid"

    In the 3D History a red cross is displayed at affected elements.
