4.6.10.  Import SolidWorks >= 2001 + Macro Files

Run Macro by Dialog

  1. Unzip file with WINZIP or an equal program.

  2. Open file with extension .swb (SolidWorks Visual Basic Program) in Tools -> Macro -> Run....

  3. Select your preferred part with extension .swb (SolidWorks Visual Basic Program) from file dialog.

  4. Enter the destination directory where the part should be stored.

Drag&Drop Macro

For skilled users we provide the following solution:

  1. Unzip file with WINZIP or an equal program.

  2. Drag&Drop file with extension .swb (SolidWorks Visual Basic Program) into the SolidWorks window.

    [Caution] Caution

    Do not Drag&Drop in an open part!

  3. Enter the destination directory where the part should be stored.

Macro Solidworks 2007

With Solidworks 2007 proceed as follows:

  1. Unzip file with WINZIP or an equal program.

  2. Start menu Tools -> Macro -> Edit....

  3. Select the file with extension .swb and press open. A dialog will appear to confirm the conversion process.

  4. Select the "Run" button from the top tool bar. If the macro does not run place the cursor on the Main method inside the edit window.

  5. Enter the destination directory where the part should be stored.

    You may close the Visual Basic Window after the creation process.
