2.2.1. The PARTsolutions 3D geometry format

  • The pure geometry data of the individual parts is in single files of type *.3db.

  • Whenever (e.g. in the case of threaded parts) the user is offered the option of two thread modes (“Core hole”without actual thread or “nominal thread with complete external geometry), a second *.3gb geometry model is available in each case (*.3db without thread, *.3gb with thread).
