3.3.4.1.2. Dimensioning *.3db Object

  1. You can dimension the *.3db object using the buttons in the bottom toolbar of the new 2-D drawing window.

  1. Move the mouse pointer to the Vertical dimensioning at 2 points until the snap appears and click to set.

  1. Move the mouse pointer to the first line until the snap appears and click to set.

  2. Repeat this step to create the second line.

--> The dimension lines become visible at the mouse pointer.

  1. --> The dimension lines become visible at the mouse pointer.

--> All dimension elements and the menu window Change parameter become visible.

  1. Define the Offset value (dimension to reference axis) and the Height (Type size) of dimension (see fig.).

  2. Dimensioning text:

Default is "{AUTOMATIC%0}" with curly braces.

"AUTOMATIC" takes the current value from the geometry. (Not recommended).

Define a static, dynamic or mixed static-dynamic Measure text.

Using %"number" you can define Decimal digits. (For example: A={A%2})

    Dimensioning text: static

    Add any static text.

Now enter the desired variables. The respective value is the dynamically generated.

    [Note] Note

To satisfy high design demands, you can create external preview pictures and provide it as *.pra file for example. On this see Section 5.5.2, “*.pra files ”.

Dynamic generation of the variables content in the measure text is only possible like described above!

(In the above example "%0", so that the Measure text "8" without decimal places will be displayed)

Click on the Accept changes button.

  1. Close the 2-view.

  2. The new created view will be displayed in the History menu.

--> The dimensioning image is now available as 2-D view in the PARTdataManager.
