By default, ERP
is not supported for single parts inside assemblies. If a single part of an
assembly is selected in the docking window Assembly and the button Add dataset to link database is clicked, then an error message is displayed pointing
out the key UseErpForAssPart:
In the docking window "Assembly" a part within an assembly is selected. In this case adding an ERP number is not possible by default. The respective not is displayed.
If workflows with the ERP state of single parts and assembly shall be taken into account then set the key UseErpForAssPart on 1. With the help of scripting very specific evaluations can be made.
The setting can be performed via user interface or configuration file:
The following figure shows a complex assembly with subassemblies. The uppermost assembly has no ERP/PDM number yet (red status light in the characteristic attribute table). Some single parts already have an ERP/PDM number (green status light in the Assembly docking window).
In the following you can find details on how to use ERP enhancements for assemblies. The specific working method has to be customized. The following figures are related to the assembly table project in the directory $CADENA/training under "Assembly/Scharnier".
