7.11.21.  Fill column with thread information

In order to fill columns with values from thread tables, in the column header of the table, use the context menu command Fill column with thread information. Values for nominal diameter (ND), pitch (PITCH), core diameter outer thread (KDA) and core diameter inner thread (KDI) can be entered.

That means a considerable speed advantage for the modeller's work and will reduce the error rate.

Example:

  1. In the column header, open the context menu and click on Fill column with thread information.

-> The dialog box Fill columns is opened.

  2. In the opened list field, under Thread norm, select the desired norm.

  3. Under Thread name, determine the column which shall be used for the mapping of the fitting thread information.

  4. In the opened list field, under Return value, select the desired thread parameter.

Here in this example, ND (nominal diameter) is used.

Here in this example, ND (nominal diameter) is used.

    Following options are available:

    • ND: Nominal diameter

    • PITCH: Thread pitch

    • KDA: Outer core diameter

    • KDI: Inner core diameter

  5. Confirm with OK.

-> The values found in the thread norm are entered in the column.

    [Note] Note

Internally, empty spaces are removed for the mapping and comma (,) is replaced by point (.). Upper and lower case doesn't matter.

Values taken for COL1 correspond with the nominal diameter (ND).

Values taken for COL1 correspond with the nominal diameter (ND).

-> If no mapping had been possible, a respective note is shown.

Example: For 2 values no match could be found in the thread norm.

  6. Repeat the procedure, however now for the column COL2 with selection "PITCH" as Return value.

The values taken for COL2 correspond with the thread pitch (PITCH).
