You can create your own configuration tree structure via the Assembly docking window. This structure appears later on in the PARTdataManager.

In the docking window Assembly, click on the preview image of the plate.
->The start element plate is now transferred to the assembly structure. The symbol is still crossed out, because it has not yet been uniquely determined. There are several characteristics available for the plate, which can be selected.

Click on the first column from the left in the Table in order to select a characteristic.
-> Now the plate is regularly taken into the assembly.
-> The red "x" is not displayed anymore and the plate is shown in the 3D view.
