5.9.3.3.3. Example: Variants of Dimensioning views

If you don't want the same Dimensioning views to be assigned for all characteristics of part you can define variants in the Variants dialog area.

  1. On the tabbed page 3D project, in the dialog area Variants create variables and values.

  2. Then under Dimensioning views assign the desired files to each variant e.g. in pra format.

    In the View column, open the list field and select a default value (Front view | Side view | Top view) or enter your own term.

    In the File with dimensioning column, open the list field and select the desired file.

In PARTdesigner the needed variable has to be created before (here exemplarily "VERS") and the table values for the respective row have to be set. For the PARTdataManager view you can hide the variable.

In PARTdataManager, the dimensioning views are displayed for each matching row then.
