An Assembly Table Project is built up step-by-step via a configuration and template.
This project type has the advantage that it contains a superordinated table, which controls the single parts.
Assembling such as with the configuration is not needed.

If you select the assembly or any part in PARTdataManager, in the docking window Bill of material, the corresponding table is shown. On this also compare Section 3.1.11.15, “"Assembly" Window - Bill of material Window ” in PARTsolutions / PARTcommunity4Enterprise - User manual. (The option Show single parts tables in assembly tables has to be activated.)
