Dimensioning views shows up in PARTdataManager in the Technical details window.
These can be made available in 3 different file formats:
With PARTdesigner, you can create Dimensioning views from standard views, create the dimensioning text against different sets of requirements and make additional versions available for PARTdataManager.
Details on this can be found under Section 3.3.4.1, “*.3db files ”.
Dimensioning views are normally provided by the customer in the form of DWG/DXF files. In PARTproject these can be imported and converted to .pra files.
Details on this can be found under Section 5.5.2, “Import DWG/DXF files and convert them into .pra format”.
*.tif files can be created from paper catalogs by scanning, for example.
Details on this can be found under Section 5.5.4, “*.tif files ”.
The respective previews are displayed in the Technical details window in PARTdataManager and are opened in the Settings window.
Through the course of these training documents, the creation of dimensioning drawings using PARTdesigner will be described.
