  I usually only buy/view travel guides when I'm sure of my destination AND I'm about to visit multiple places in the country/region. Otherwise it's not worth the money as much of the same information is on the internet for individual cities/towns etc. I don't usually go to friends and family for advice. It really depends if we have the same tourist personality otherwise their offers are meaningless.

  My dream vacation would be a two-week trip to the Caribbean. I'd love to spend my days lounging on white sand beaches, snorkeling in crystal clear waters, and exploring the vibrant culture of each island. At night, I'd enjoy delicious local cuisine while watching live music performances under starry skies.
