2.5.5.2.8. Drawing Symbols

  1. Open a new document of the type "Drawing".

  2. In the PARTsolutions menu, click on Insert model.

    --> The view switches to the PARTdataManager.

  3. Via Part selection and Part view select the desired part.

  4. Click on the button .

    --> The Choose view to pass... dialog opens.

  5. Choose a view and confirm with Transfer.

    --> A 2D derivation of the selected view is created.

  6. Click on the drawing.

    -->The part is inserted.

If you want to insert other/different parts, select Insert-> Drawing Symbol -> Custom in Creo.

-> The Custom Drawing Symbol dialog shows up.

All parts that have already been used are displayed in the Symbol name list field and can be inserted into the drawing according to selection as well.
