3.4.1. What is a FLM installation?

With a FLM installation a license server is installed which distributes the necessary licenses dynamically to the users.

Example: If there are 150 clients/terminals and 50 licenses available, maximum 50 users get one of these licenses at the same time. In case another (51.) user wants to use a license, he has to wait until it will be released by one of the 50 users.

	Note
	PARTsolutions-Server (with PARTsolutions installation and license directory) and FLM master can be the same computer in practice.

	Note
	The license (and thus a possibly used license server) has to be available at start up of the PARTapplicationServer, because this one configures its functionality at start up. Subsequent "pulling" of licenses is not possible and provided.
