Alternative 2D size is a special feature for catalogs with parts that, due to their proportions, may look bad in the 2-D derivation.

This may, for example, happen with very long cylinders. The 2D derivation would consequently look more like a long line than a cylinder.
Per checkbox in the Shortened view in the 2D view dialog, the user may choose between standard and shortened display.

Note
