Capacitive Sensors

In contrast to inductive sensors, inductive proximity switches are also able to detect non-metallic materials. These non-contacting and contactless sensors are largely insensitive against environmental influences and are particularly suitable for filling level and level control of solid, powdered and liquid materials.

Klaschka has now complemented the series of capacitive sensors. Designs with 8, 12, 18 and 30 mm housing diameters and switching distances from 1.5 to 20 mm are now available.

Typical applications are counting tasks and all kinds of level monitoring of solid materials (e.g. powder, granulate, pellets, etc.) and liquid materials (e.g. water, oil, hotmelt, pastes, acids, etc.). Control of presence and completeness of packaging (also through cardboard boxes), detection of tear and damage on material webs made of paper, plastic or textile, control of material flow on extraction and mixing units, monitoring of drive belt breakage or selection of liquids with different dielectric behaviour are possible.
