In the docking window Filter Assistant, on the base of the common variables of a selected directory, a filter assistant is automatically created.

Perform settings with the help of sliders, checkboxes, etc. and finally click on Search. The search is executed like a "normal" search.

Example: Filter assistant for head cap bolts

Under tabbed page Part selection -> Structure select a directory level, where projects have common variables.

(In this example DIN -> Bolts -> Head cap bolts)

-> The Filter Assistant is immediately created and displayed.
Perform the desired settings with the help of sliders, checkboxes, etc.
- For Nominal thread diameter and Length for example.
- Under Search for either select parts or parts and part families.
Finally below, click on Search.

Result:

For the display of search results the "Table" mode is chosen in this example.

-> The display changes to the tabbed page of search results as usual.

-> Filter parameters are highlighted in yellow in the result lines.

-> In the input field of Full-text search, the mathematical search string is automatically entered.
