Our 3D CAD supplier models have been moved to 3Dfindit.com, the new visual search engine for 3D CAD, CAE & BIM models.
You can log in there with your existing account of this site.

If on the side of PARTsolutions the physical properties are set in the CNS classification, then these are also transferred to the CAD system during the export.
In PARTdataManager the attributes of the CNS classification are displayed under index tree, context menu of a part, menu item Part information.
You can call up the physical properties in Inventor under iProperties -> tabbed page Physical.
The following items show how Inventor acts in different scenarios:
When a material is transferred from PARTsolutions, then this a applied (and therefrom the density results).
It is not possible to directly set the density, because the density has to be defined by the material.
If a volume has been transferred from PARTsolutions, then thereof mass and density are calculated by Inventor.
If a mass has been transferred from PARTsolutions, then volume and density are calculated by Inventor.
If mass and volume have been transferred from PARTsolutions, then the density is always directly calculated. (Density from the material is overwritten | Density = Mass / Volume)
In order to calculate mass, surface, volume and density, click on Update.
