3.1.3.3.1.  Part selection

By clicking with the right mouse-button on a folder- or object symbol, a context menu is opened.

  • The context menus correspond in the directory tree on the left and in the main window under Details and Symbols on the right.

  • The context menus at directory level, at the root element Catalog and at project level may differ.

  • Some commands are only available at certain tab pages or categories.

The following figure exemplarily shows the context menu commands for the project level in the directory tree.

  • Open

  • Versions

    • Add all versions to part compare

  • Go to class

  • Part information... (only on project level)

  • Release Notes (only on catalog level)

  • Search in the catalog / Search in directory

  • Part comparison (only on project level)

  • Geometrical search for this part (only on project level)

  • Sketch search for this part (only on project level)

  • Cloud Navigation Search (only on project level)

  • Purchineering

  • Duplicates Report

  • Search for unmachined parts

  • Price search...

  • Add to favorites

  • Add to analysis...

  • Copy

  • Hide project

  • Generate image data/preview images

  • Edit with PARTproject

  • Show status of reported model problems

  • Report model problem

  • Apart from some little differences the context menu commands of search results are identic.

    In the Detail view (tabbed pages Catalogs, Classes, Favorites, History, Search results) you can find in addition:

    • Copy %1 to clipboard (below the respective column)

      The content of each column can be copied in the clipboard.

      The context menu command then could be for example Copy catalog to clipboard or Copy description to clipboard.

    • Export to CAD (at single parts)

  • At project level in addition the following commands are found:

    • Rename folder

    • Hide directory

    • Create new directory

    • Search in directory

  • At the Favorites tabbed page you find:

    • Remove directory from favorites / Remove project from favorites

  • In self created catalogs you find:

    • Create document project
