You can set a table column as marker for preferred rows.

When activating the function all rows that do not show an entry in the marking column are hidden.

The mechanism is different with and without ERP functionality:

Without ERP functionality

Set the column under Extras -> Settings... -> Table -> Variable for preferred rows.

Usually the column for the IDNR is set as the marker for the preferred row.

	Important
	This approach is actually not recommended, because this information gets lost at a catalog update. Preferred row information better should be applied via link database.

With ERP functionality

The preferred row is determined in the user role dialog.^[104]

	Important
	If you activate filters such as Preferred rows on/off or Display filtered tree , this affects the search results. Other roles may have other restrictions for the display of directories, table columns or table rows and so provide other results!
