Parts management is the connection of catalog data with your data in the ERP/PLM system. This enables role-based releases and views to be controlled and data from your database system can be made visible for the user in PARTsolutions.

Integral part of an installation with ERP, PDM, PLM integration is the link databasewhich saves connections between PARTsolutions and third systems In order to set up a productive system use your existing database system and install the required database instance PLINKDB with the corresponding tables with the aid of the scripts available in the installation medium. On this see Section 5.2.3, “Manual database installation ”. For demo purposes you can use the demo database PLDBDEMO which is offered in the course of the installation routine. Thereby demo data is installed and the needed configurations are already set. | |
