3.3.11.4. Settings inside Vault

Even before activating the PARTsolutions Vault Integration, a CADENAS library directory should be applied in Vault. In this directory, PARTsolutions will save all future standard and catalog parts (including assemblies). The library should NOT be located on one central drive!

The name of the selected folder can be set in the %CADENAS_SETUP%/ifvault.cfg file. The name of the selected folder can be set in the ROOTFOLDER. The presetting is $/CADENAS.

For individual catalogs or catalog groups you can also work with special subdirectories (see Fig. „Apply CADENAS library folder“).

The VAULT-CAD connection links all parts that are used in the assemblies, additionally under their respective assemblies:

You will first find a screw exported by PARTsolutions in the $/CADENAS folder. After use in an assembly you can find the same screw as a part in the assembly as well. Should the screw be needed as a component of a PARTsolutions assembly, you can find it additionally under this assembly as well.

An overview at which location the screw is integrated everywhere, can be found in Vault for each part under the „Reuse“ index page.
