3.3.8.3. Functions

The AutoORG® - mySAP PLM CADENAS Integration is controlled via parameters which are transferred at program launch.

Basic interface for the communication with SAP is selectively the SAP RFC Library or the NetWeaver Library.

The sapcadenassrv.exe is the core of the interface. Both SAP MM and SAP PLM integration use it. Hereto also see Section 3.3.8.10, “Integration file "sapcadenassrv.exe"”.

Functions:

  • Creation, modification and viewing of materials in SAP

    Creating automatic links between SAP Materials and PARTsolutions catalog parts

    Standard & supplier parts catalogs of PARTsolutions contain many search criteria which can be automated used for the master data filling in the mask.

    Furthermore SAP MM data can be displayed in PARTsolutions PARTdataManager again.

  • Creation of documents in SAP

    SAP CAD-Desktop is a tool which gives excellent support for 3-d design.

    All CAD relevant data and links are available for the follow-on processes such as purchase, system engineering, production, sales, etc. The design engineer works in his familiar environment.

    Access to CAD data is coordinated through the version control and status administration so that various users can work on a component at the same time without data being lost or inconsistencies arising (Concurrent Engineering). Using examination mechanisms, check-in and check-out assistants prevent inconsistent data contents from being produced and offer solutions if a conflict arises.

  • Production of links between materials and documents in SAP

    In the PARTdataManager table both parameter from SAP MM and from SAP PLM can be displayed.

    There are no breaks between ERP and PLM system.

    The integrated SAP change service with complete change history is also available for the PARTsolutions Standard and supplier parts.

  • Checking in catalog parts to SAP and out from SAP in accordance with the document structures

  • Administration of catalog parts in SAP DMS on a company-wide basis
