Software technically and licence technically you as client must make sure to have an ODBC connection (WIN/UNIX) to your database system.

You assigned the Data Source Name when you applied the database instance. This will be used for the ODBC configuration.

Concerning PARTsolutions, you must make sure that exactly this name is entered in PARTlinkManager under Extras -> Configure ERP environment -> tab page Database -> Database -> Name.

	Within the frame of a Client-Server installation you must make sure that the ODBC is set up on each Client!
