11.5.4.6.  Resolve value ranges

Only Value rangesdefined as lists (e.g. "1,3,5,6,9,...") or intervals with increment (e.g. "[10:100/10]") can be resolved, i.e. “dissected” into individual component attributes.

Example: there is a table with value range variable "L".

"L" is defined by list "20,40,60".

In Test mode , you can see that the first list value ("20") is allocated globally to the existing three rows - with no further selection of the listed values.

  1. In order to assign the three different list values to each of the three existing rows and thus, overall, create nine individual attributes, click on the Resolve value ranges command.

  2. In the Resolve value range variables window, check the Variable (in this case only "L") whose value range you wish to "dissect" and confirm this with OK.

--> The table with resolved value range then looks as follows.
