9.7.1.1. Connection point of single part 1 "plate"

  1. In the .../partsolutions/23d-libs/training/assembly directory, open the file plate.3db.

  1. Click on the button Table window and open the file plate.tab (or plate.tac).

-->"plate" in opened PARTdesigner.

  1. Dialog area History: Right-click on Sketch 1.

  2. In the context menu, select Edit... .

  1. --> The 2-D Sketcher opens.

    Click on the button Insert connection point .

  1. Pull the cursor to the center of the circle of the boring until the snap (circular symbol) shows up.

  2. Set the Connection point by simply clicking the mouse into the circle.

    --> The connection point is displayed as a green triangle symbol .

    --> In the history area the Insert connection point procedure is documented.

    --> The Change parameter window opens.

  1. Enter a name for the connection point and confirm with OK.

  1. Click on the button Accept changes .

    --> The sketch closes.

    --> The Drill connection point has been inserted. In the 3D view the spot is also marked by a three-dimensional green triangle .

  1. Save the file.

  2. --> ThePart information window shows up.

    Make your entries and confirm with OK.
