A very important search and find option, aside from parts selection via the dialog page Catalogs is the dialog page Classes.

This chapter would like to assist you in classifying projects.

These could be:

  3. Via Classimporter, parts structured in catalog form

    (Detailed information about the Classimporter can be found under Section 2.1, “ Classimporter ” in PARTwarehouse Manual.)

A number of functionalities simplify the procedure.

Classifications can be conducted at the project and directory levels.

Additional functionalities are available to you at the directory level.

The following information is divided into 4 main parts:

  • Allocation at project level

  • Allocation at directory level

  • Index update

    After changes, in PARTadmin -> Index administration, the search index must be updated so that new allocations can be displayed in the PARTdataManager.

    The update has to be performed both for concerned projects and for the classification!

    Read here on how to use class information in the PARTdataManager.

All classification and attribute informations are transferred to the interface, in other words the CAD, upon export.
