后（英文：Queen，Unicode字符♕U+2655，♛U+2656） 是國際象棋棋局中實力最强的一種棋子。后可橫直斜走，且格數不限[1]。吃子与走法相同。后在開局和中局階段相當于兩個車或者三個象的實力，在殘局階段略遜於兩個車的實力。后往往是棋局中制勝的决定性力量，少掉一個后往往意味著棋局告負，此時失去后的一方通常會投子認輸。
