What is a challenge?
It is our goal to increase the exchange of knowledge among engineers of our portal PARTcommunity. As a benefit for our active community members we have created several challenges together with the support of numerous component manufacturers, which are awarded with interesting prizes.
How does it work?
Follow the description and tasks of the respective engineering challenge. Post your contribution together with a photo or screenshot to the defined section within the PARTcommunity portal. After the process is finished an independent jury will figure out the winner and notify him.

GANTER awards the most interesting use case within the GANTER CAD catalog!
You have implemented CAD models from the GANTER CAD catalog in your designs or have discovered these components during work experience? Show us your most interesting use cases and win a tablet by SAMSUNG!
What do you need to do?
In order to participate in the challenge with your use case you have two possibilities
A) Comment function on PARTcommunity

Visit PARTcommunity, the information platform for engineers by CADENAS at[nbsp]www.partcommunity.com.[nbsp]In case you do not have a login yet, you can register free of charge on the website. -
Navigate to the respective GANTER component:
Therefore click on the tab CAD Catalogs and look for the catalog of GANTER.
Choose the component that is intendet for your use case -
Below the components you can find a comment section. Upload photos or a screenshot of your construction together with a short description of the use case here.
B) Upload form
Use the upload form to submit your use case. We will publish it on PARTcommunity under "Use Cases - Knowledge"
You can also create a personal idea. The use case must not be produced. Each participant can upload as many use cases as desired and thus increase the chance of winning.
Please note, that the contact information in your PARTcommunity profile must be filled out completely and that there is no confidential information on your photograph
Timeframe of participation of the engineering competition: from now until November, 30th 2012

GANTER awards the best use case with a Galaxy Note 10.1 by Samsung!
The winner is the member who, according to a jury by Otto Ganter GmbH [&] Co. KG, has shown the most interesting and unique engineering use case for any component within GANTER CAD catalog. The use case can of course contain several components. The focus of your use case should be laid on GANTER components.
Who can participate?
All duly registered members of CADENAS PARTcommunity with residence in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, UK, Sweden, USA, Japan or Singapur who are at least 18 years of age.

The design by a Singen-based engineering bureau for an automatic contour miller ultimately convinced the jury. The machine automatically contour-mills plastic or wooden window construction profile sections. The profile sections are milled fully automatic after inserting the profiles and setting the depth stops.
