2.2.11.  Edit views

  • Via the Edit views command Preview, Technical drawings and 3D preview are assigned to either a Class (= directory or project) or Variants of the class (= table rows).

  • Class and Variants of the class are represented on the Edit views dialog via the tab pages.

  • The Edit views command is needed when you have added new classes (see Section 2.2.2, “ Add class ”) or new datasets (see Section 2.2.6, “ Add datasets ”) or want to change existing assignments.

In order to make changes proceed as follows:

  1. Choose PARTdataManager Part selection when you want to make changes for a Class (directory or project).

    Choose the Part view when you want to make changes for Variants of the class (table rows).

  2. Call up the Edit views dialog from the toolbar or from the context menu.

    -> The same-named dialog opens.

    [Note] Note

    Always check whether you are in the desired class using the information under Name, Description and Path. When you are on the Variants of the class tab page check in addition whether the change refers to the desired table row using the information under ERP number, Line-ID and Line-SubID.

    Relevant for the changes to perform are only the settings in the dialog, NOT the selection in the index tree or table.

  3. Choose the desired files under Preview, Technical drawings and 3D preview via browse button ....

    [Note] Note

    Only those buttons are active for which changes are allowed in this context.
