After a part (assembly) is explicitly defined, you can export it to your CAD system.[72] [73]
In the CAD system parts taken from PARTsolutions can be processed as native parts.
The following two figures show the opening of and workflow with and without a PARTsolutions interface during export.

[a] Information about all CAD integrations can be found under Chapter 2, Open PARTsolutions from CAD systems. [b] If a "valid" model is open in the CAD system, then the icon is also automatically active in the PARTdataManager. [c] In earlier versions, the properties were adjustable. With V9 the properties are identical for all interfaces in the described manner. [d] More detailed information about export formats can be found under Section 3.1.2.1, “ Export to CAD system ”. |
[72] For 2D parts, a 2D derivation must firs be created. See Section 3.1.1.11.3, “ Create 2D derivation ”.
[73] For configurations make sure that there are no elements in red. These must then be assigned a specific characteristic.
