By default, only the Full-text search is fully visible. The other search methods are hidden . You can open the area anytime to add other search methods or alternatively use them.

In the input field, enter a search term and click on Start search.

You can combine textual and numerical terms. Both the table (ERP columns and characteristic attributes) and topological values are searched.

When which method?

Beside the Full-text search some other search methods which can be combined [39] are available in addition:[40]

How you can add a search method?

Beside or instead of the full-text search other search methods can be used.

Open the area of search methods with the arrow key .

-> Then you will see a listing of all search methods.

Click on the link of the desired search method.

-> The respective settings dialog opens. After committing the settings the search method is displayed below the Full-text search with checkbox and "Remove" button . Furthermore you can see used setting parameters beside the search method.

How to remove a search method from the list?

Click on the "Remove" button .

How to deactivate a search method for the next search run?

Deactivate the checkbox .

Compact display of the search methods (for experienced users)

In order to add a search method click on the green plus button and then on the desired method.

-> The respective settings dialog opens. Once committing the settings the respective icon of the selected method is displayed with activated checkbox.

Manual searching of the directory structure

Beside using the search functions, of course you can manually search the directory structure.

For example, on the tabbed page Part selection, select the subitem Catalogs or Classifications and search the respective directory structure for the desired component.

Detailed information on the single subitems (Catalogs | Classifications | Favorites | History | Document scan) can be found under Section 3.1.6.4.12, “ Part selection via index tree ”.
