This setting concerns the level of detail for the export. If there is no intervention via configuration file, the export is always performed with level "high", regardless of the PARTdataManager setting.
The PARTdataManager setting concerns the Level of Detail for the 3D view.

Levels of detail are either automatically calculated or manually determined on the side of catalog supplier. On this please see Section 9.6.2.10, “ Level of Detail ” in eCATALOGsolutions Manual.
