4.11.1.  Automatically generated ERP_PDM_NUMBER at new creation of parts (on/off) - erpcustom.cfg -> Block [VARS] -> Key "TIMESTAMPNR"

In PARTdataManager, when clicking on Add dataset to link database , the dialog box new ident-no. opens.

You can configure whether the ERP number should be manually inserted or automatically generated as "Timestamp" number. For automatic generation the input field is displayed inactively (dimmed).

Setting per configuration file

erpcustom.cfg -> Block [VARS] -> Key "TIMESTAMPNR"

Value range of key TIMESTAMPNR: 0/1

  • 1: The field ERPNr. is inactive (grayed out), because the ERP_PDM_NUMBER will be automatically generated. You may not enter an ERP number yourself.

  • 0: The field ERPNr. is active. The ERP_PDM_NUMBER can be manually entered.

Setting per user interface

In PARTadmin, in the category Configuration files, under CADENAS_SETUP, open the configuration file erpcustom.cfg.

In the block VARS, change the default entry in TIMESTAMPNR from '0' to'1'.

Example with activated key TIMESTAMPNR:

Select a part which doesn't have a number yet.

Click on the button Add dataset to link database .

Select the Material.

Please regard: The input field ERPNo is enabled, because the ERP number is automatically generated.

Click Ok.

The ERP number is inserted with automatically generated ERP number.
