13.7.2.1. Insert start element

  1. Open the context menu of the directory Parts in the menu Configurator via the right mouse-button.

  1. Click Insert part... . --> The window Open file appears and theProject Files ( *.prj) are displayed.

  1. .../partsolutions/23d-libs/training/assembly Pick the part you want to insert as Start element by choosing *.prj file "plate" from the directory .

    --> The Part properties dialog area shows up.

  1. Enter the Description and the name of the equation.

  2. Define the plate as Start element .

  1. To change the color of a component click the color box.

    --> The Colors window shows up.

  1. Select a color an confirm with OK.

    [Note] Note

    Remember that the Part properties window may only be exited via OK, if the fields Description nd Equation name have been filled out.

  1. After you have confirmed with OK in the Part properties dialog area, the first part (plate) is displayed in the Configurator as subordinated directory.

    The part symbol is highlighted in red and thus identified as start element.

    Below the part name you can find the directories Table restrictions and Conditions (see Section 10.5.1.4, “Context menu of "Table restrictions" directory ”).

    The X symbol with the description Drill stands for the Connection point , which was assigned to the part in PARTdesigner.
