Icons in index tree

In the index tree you can see at a glance which projects have automatically been mapped (these do not show icons) and which projects have to be edited manually.

Meaning

The plus button is used at different places:

  • Add target project

    For example, if a project shall be splitted into two projects, then you can add further projects with this function, whereon then a mapping can be performed. See Section 9.9.3.9, “Splitting of project with value range variable in two projects with fixed variable”.

  • Add condition

    At complex changes such as resolving value range variables (yellow fields) to fixed variables, algorithms with Fortran code can be used for the mapping. See Section 9.9.3.9, “Splitting of project with value range variable in two projects with fixed variable”.

  • Add variable mapping

    The dialog area Target variable / Allocations of variables is used if there are variable changes (possibly with value changes in addition). Partly there is an automatic detection.

    • Automatic detection

      For example, if there has been a variable A and now in the new table there is a variable AX which shows identical values, then it is detected as renamed variable.

    • Manual variable assignment

      In the list field select the desired variable.

    • Manual variable assignment with value calculation

      Possibly a calculation shall be performed at the assignment in addition: In this case, under Allocations of variables, use the option Algorithm....

      Example:

      In the current version there is a parameter for the radius. In the last version the parameter was specified for the diameter. In such a case an algorithm can be provided:

      The new variable is selected as target variable, e.g. D and in the second column an algorithm is provided: D = R * 2.

Map resolved value ranges

With this function you can create a listing of all value combinations.

When clicking on the button at the beginning of a line, an empty dialog box Edit value range mappings opens.

In order for the assignments to be displayed in the dialog box, at first you have to call the context menu command of a single line or the button above the table to create the assignments for all lines.

You can find an example on how to work with this function under Section 9.9.3.11, “Resolved value range”.

Generate algorithm matching the selected line and copy it to clipboard

When clicking on the icon the value range algorithm is generated for the selected line. Now, when clicking on Add condition the dialog box Edit algorithm opens. There you can paste the algorithm from the clipboard and then adjust it accordingly. An example on this can be found under Section 9.9.3.9, “Splitting of project with value range variable in two projects with fixed variable”.

The x button is used at several places:

  • Remove target project

  • Remove condition

  • Remove mapping

  • Revoke the mapping to this project

The blue arrow is used at several places:

  • Function: Map this project to the currently selected line

    [Note] Note

    This function is only active if the assignment has been removed in the table via or no assignment has been detected and target projects are available for a new assignment.

  • Table: Currently mapped line

Open project: When clicking on the icon, the respective project is selected in PARTproject.

Approve assignment: Confirms the assignment of the selected line.

Verify all mappings: Confirms all assignments of the loaded project.

In the tree you can also find the context menu command Verify all mappings. This command is available for each directory level.

[Caution] Caution

On uppermost level ALL assignments of the whole catalog are confirmed. This command should only be used at the very end of editing being quite sure that all individual assignments are correct.

Show hidden columns

If there are hidden lines or columns in a table, then these are displayed when activating this option.

[Note] Note

Possibly only visible lines are assigned. With this function you can check whether everything has been confirmed.

Please note that value range columns are hidden when activating this function.

OK

Close the dialog by clicking on OK (right below). In this case all changes performed up to now are saved. Don't use the x button; in so doing you would loose the changes you made.

(When using the command Add ERP-Mapping... the mapping information is updated (not overridden).
