11.5.4.5.  Duplicate line

This command provides an alternative to value range variables. Using Duplicate line, you can subdivide an attribute (table row) into various sub-attributes if, for instance, the contents of only one column are to change.

In the example below, there is a component with three different attributes (rows). The value of variable B has the constant dimension of 1 mm. The existing three rows are now to be duplicated and, at the same time, the value for B in the new rows is to be changed to 2 mm.

  1. Click on the Duplicate linecommand.

--> The window of the same name is displayed. All variables relating to the current table ( *.tab ) are listed in the Variabledrop-down combo box.

  1. Choose the variable (in this case "B") whose column value(s) is (or are) to be duplicated.

  2. Click on the Add valuebutton. --> The window of the same name is displayed.

  3. Enter the variable value (in this case "2") for the new/duplicated rows. --> Each row of the table is duplicated and the new variable value (in this case "B" = 2 mm) is entered.

[Note] Note

Variable values occurring several times in a table are displayed only once in the Values box.
