6.9.3.8.3.  Rotate selection

Rotate sketch element on a Point / through a specified Angle or copy it with simultaneously pressed mouse key.

Rotate (and delete original):

  1. Select the sketch element.

    -> The element is marked in pink.

  2. Click on the button Rotate selection .

  3. Click the center of rotation.

    --> The first reference line is attached to the cursor.

  4. Specify angle of rotation with the help of two desired reference points, which span the angle.

    [Note] Note

    The reference points don't have to be in contact with the line to be rotated.

    Once the second point is fixed, the dialog box Change parameter is opened and the sketch element is rotated.

  5. Possibly adjust the Angle of rotation in the dialog box.

Rotate (and keep original):

  1. Click sketch element.

  2. Select button Rotate selection.

  3. Press the Ctrl key simultaneously and perform the steps as described above.

    --> The element is rotated (original is kept).

    --> The dialog box Change parameter is opened.

  4. Possibly adjust the Angle of rotation in the dialog box Change parameter and under Count, enter the number of desired copies.
