6.12.7.  ID data

Each part has to be clearly identifiable! The required entries are made in the dialog box ID data.

A newly created or changed table can only be saved and left, if ID data have been given.

  1. In the File menu, click on ID data.

    --> The same-named dialog box is opened. Select tabbed page Table.

  2. Make your entries and confirm with OK. All fields have to be filled out!

    [Note] Note

    All entries should be in English. This is the default language. In PARTproject, under Edit project -> tabbed page Translation, you can maintain translations for any languages, so that these are displayed in PARTdataManager accordingly.

    On this please see under Section 4.8.2.1.13, “ Translation ”.

Details on single fields of the dialog box ID data

  • Standard name (NB)

    The Standard name (NB) is composed of Standard number, Standard title and variable values, which are dynamically read from the table.

    Example:

    NB='ISO xy Bolt $D.x$L.'

    [Note] Note
    • Standard name (NB) has to be unique!

    • Standard name (NB) is transferred to the CAD system when exporting a part.

    • Pay attention to the syntax!

      Make sure your entries occur within the two single quotation marks. If you want to attach table values to the actual name, use the following format:

      Dollar_sign
      Variable_name
      dot

      Do not use empty spaces between the single parameters.

      Example:

      NB='Hexagon cap nut DIN 1587 - $NENN.'

    • The entries orient towards the normal Standards.

    When loading a part, the (translated) term of Standard name (NB) is displayed in PARTdataManager in the title bar of 3D view.

      Via Check standard description you can have the expression (syntactic) checked for correctness.

      [Note] Note
      • The Standard name (NB) must be unique!

      • Is transferred to the CAD system when exporting a part.
