Base dimension (Chain measurements)
When using the option Base dimension the distance dimension of a chain dimension is added to the distance dimension of all preceding. (Base dimension and next dimension are specified in the input fields Position and Offset (BBOX) / Offset (ELEMENT) each for itself.)
Setting the ID at all used dimensionings is mandatory to be able to work with the option Base dimension. It is entered in the field Base dimension at a chain dimension.
If the Base dimension cannot be created, then the second defined dimensioning substitutes the base dimension. If this neither can be created, then the third dimension substitutes the second, etc. In this way different dimensioning definitions can be set into the other (incremental dimensioning).
